Kozhara: Talks on Association with EU to be resumed after holidays

Ukraine will resume negotiations with the European Union on signing of the Association Agreement after the New Year and Christmas holidays. This was announced today by foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara during a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
“Two rounds of negotiations (on the Association Agreement with the EU – Ed.) have already been held in Brussels. In Europe had already begun political holidays due to Christmas and New Year celebrations. Negotiations will be resumed after holidays,” he said.
Kozhara added that the text of the Agreement will not be corrected. “The text of the Association Agreement with the EU is not subject to corrections. This is the position of the European party and the position of the Ukrainian party, as we have initialed the Agreement. As for the implementation of this Agreement, Ukraine has a lot of observations, and work is continuing. At present, the government has identified the parameters that would allow implementing the Agreement, and preserving national interests,” the head of the Foreign Ministry said.
As the minister added, the document on the agreement with the EU has more than 30 add-ons, which will be paid great attention to.
