Constitution needs to be improved, Rybak sure

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and first deputy chairman of the Party of Regions Volodymyr Rybak congratulated his compatriots on the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine, the PR press service reports.
“Dear compatriots! I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine! 17 years ago, our country received an extremely important and fundamental for its development document. The adoption of the Main Law finally allowed to complete the process of legal formation of Ukraine as an independent state,” he said.
According to Rybak, the Constitution of Ukraine absorbed the best examples of domestic and international experience of state building.
However, according to Rybak, even the best documents need to be improved. “That’s why, two years ago, the President of Ukraine created the Constitutional Assembly, a public platform for an open and professional discussion about the future of the constitutional upgrades. I am confident that the amended Constitution of Ukraine will be another step on the path of our country to the European Union standards, the impetus for the strengthening of democracy and the creation of a just society on principles of humanism and the rule of law,” he said.
