Tymoshenko likely to oust three Ministers

In the nearest future, Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko will initiate dismissal of three Ministers. A source from the BYuT faction has disclosed this to UNIAN.

“Those are the Minister of Finance, Minister of Ecology, and Transport Minister. It is not connected with eventual formation of coalition. We merely want to refresh work of these Ministries”, the source said.

However, the lawmaker stressed the mechanism of “rotation” has not been worked out as yet.

At the same time, BYuT faction MP Serhiy Teryokhin said that the BYuT faction has not discussed as yet at the faction level any rotation of Ministers. “No consultations on this issue have been held. But if we have people who afford themselves such statements, probably, it’s their own position. For instance, for me the reason of such a rotation is unclear”, he said.

BYuT MP Andriy Portnov refused to comment on the information about eventual dismissal of the three Ministers.

Ukrainians to see meteor shower this night

On Monday, November 17, Ukrainians will have a unique opportunity to see a spectacular cosmic phenomenon of meteor shower. According to astronomers, falling stars will be seen on the night of November 17 -18. The meteor shower is expected to start after the midnight. Nearly 10-20 meteors an hour will fall before the dawn, at around 3-5 a.m..

“Our planet is entering a dense meteor zone, so we will be able to watch burning and exploding bolides in the dark time of day. Most better is to watch this phenomenon outside the city, where there are no sources of light”, says Artem Bilyk, head of the Center for Abnormal Space Phenomena Studies at the National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI).

However, one will be able to watch the beauty of meteor shower only if the weather conditions will be favorable. “Such phenomena happen twice every year – in August and in November. But this shower is not always that strong. As a rule, a strong meteor shower happens once every 33 years”, says Yuri Taranukha, chief engineer of the astronomic observatory at the National University named after T.Shevchenko.

Russian MP accuses Yushchenko and SBU of "narrow-minded nationalism"

Russian MP accuses Yushchenko and SBU of "narrow-minded nationalism"

The Ukrainian powers’ concept of the famine of 30ies as a genocide of Ukrainians is aimed at dividing Ukrainian and Russian nations.

According to UNIAN, Russian State Duma MP Sergey Markov claimed this opening the international conference “Historical and Political Problem of Mass Famine of 30ies” in Moscow on Monday.

“The concept of Holodomor is aimed at embroiling our nations in quarrel and dividing themů They literally dig into graves and count the number of people of this or that nationality”, S.Markov said.

He blamed President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and his aides for these actions. According to S.Markov, this concept is beneath criticism and is not confirmed with historical documents and archive materials that were made public.

S.Markov emphasized that tens of different national suffered from famine in different regions of USSR. The Russian MP is confident that the “famine as genocide of Ukrainians” was thought out by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), which is trying to persuade that the famine was organized, first of all, by Russian Jews, and confirms it with specially picked materials with respective surnames.

“This concept is based upon a narrow-minded nationalism, Russophobia, and anti-Semitism”, S.Markov stressed.
