Ukraine’s, Poland’s PMs agree on coordination of work during Euro-2012

The Heads of Governments of Poland
and
Ukraine have agreed on coordination of
activity along all the directions of gearing-up for the finals of the Football
European Championship Euro-2012. Such an agreement has been achieved during the
first sitting of Intergovernmental Ukraine-Poland Committee on Preparing and
Hosting of the Euro-2012 which took place today in
Poland under the leadership of Prime
Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko and the Head of the Council of Ministers
of the
Republic of Poland Donald Tusk.

Yulia Tymoshenko announced that
holding of the mentioned event becomes evidence that
Ukraine and Poland are launching tight communication
activity between the states with regard to preparing of the Euro-2012.
According to her, notably, an understanding has been achieved to create a group
in certain cooperation directions within the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Polish
Committee. “We have exchanged with action plans of our states in terms of
Euro-2012 in order to feel the direction of actions of each other,” Prime
Minister of Ukraine emphasized.

Moreover, according to her, in the
course of the meeting an agreement on bilateral support of all the projects
connected with development of infrastructure, particularly, concerning building
of a high-quality transit highway LvivKrakow, has been reached. Yulia Tymoshenko also stated that
Ukrainian and Polish Governments assume obligations to timely finish
construction of main stadiums of the countries, which, she was heard as saying,
would become a pledge of qualitative hosting of the Euro-2012.

Furthermore, the heads of
governments of
Ukraine and Poland has consented to coordination of a
joint information policy in terms of coverage of the Euro-2012. Yulia
Tymoshenko also expressed her thought that
Ukraine and Poland would be helpful to agree on
elaboration of a joint system of reports for the UEFA leaders concerning
preparing to the football championship.

“It is evident today that both of
the governments’ heads have assumed a joint responsibility for gearing up to
the Euro-2012 and will lead their teams to the victory,” the Head of Ukraine’s
Governments declared.

Ukraine, Poland: "Two states – one team!"

Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Poland have agreed on holding a friendly
football match between the governments of both states. Prime Minister of
Ukraine announced at a press conference in
Warsaw on the conclusions of the sitting
of Intergovernmental Ukraine-Polish Committee on preparing and holding of
Euro-2012, Cabinet’s press office reported.

According to her, the football match
between Ukrainian and Polish government members will be held on September 14,
on the eve of the second sitting of Intergovernmental Ukraine-Polish Committee
on preparing and holding of Euro-2012 slated for September 15 in Kyiv.

Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized the
following sitting of Ukrainian-Polish Committee on Euro-2012 will take place
just before the final report on gearing-up to the football championship before
the UEFA leadership.

Prime Minister of Ukraine considers
that while preparing for the Euro-2012 Ukraine and
Poland should be united by the motto “Two
states – one team!”

Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko added that
in terms of problems and challenges emerging in the process of readying for the
European championship the two governmental teams will be reliable forwards.

“Speaking about those who wish to
weaken
Poland and Ukraine in the course of holding the
Euro-2012, we will be a joint team of full-backs. Concerning our cooperation,
in the attitude towards each other we won’t afford any kickbacks. In terms of
complicated questions of journalists, we will be reliable goalkeepers,” Yulia
Tymoshenko promised.

Marked cards of the old deck

Marked cards of the old deck

Political scientists always analyze the situation in the country and conduct different researches: whether we face early elections, how much it costs to buy a membership in the parliament, what are the probable scenarios of new political season.

The product of intellectual forecast is rather interesting and demonstrative.

44% of questioned political scientists consider that maintenance of the democratic coalition is the most optimal variant from the point of national interests, and only two scientists are sure that new format of the coalition “PR + Lytvyn’s bloc + OU-PSD” is the best variant.

According to the opinion 92% of the experts, Yulia Tymoshenko does not want any changes in the parliament. 88% of experts state that Speaker Yatsenyuk also dreams about stability. Then follow Yuri Lutsenko (84%) and Vyacheslav Kyrylenko (80%).

The majority of the political scientists opined that Viktor Yanukovych, Viktor Baloha and Viktor Yushchenko, as well as Volodymyr Lytvyn and Rinat Akhmetov are those who are interested in the breakdown of the coalition in order to form a new one “PR + Lytvyn’s bloc + a part of OU-PSD.”

If the democratic coalition breaks up, we will face early elections or reformation of the parliament. The problem of the second variant is that in fact it won’t help, as all the same political forces will be involved.

In case of early elections, according to the experts, the same players will get to the parliament, and in fact these early elections will not solve the situation.

According to the experts, the politicians are not eager to run election campaigns once again: electorate is not the same, and the very procedure is rather costly.

88% of political scientists Our Ukraine deputy Vuacheslav Kyrylenko does not crave for the election race – Our Ukraine rhetoric is not that fresh…

Yuri Lutsenko (84%) and his force also have many things to lose in case of early elections this autumn…Not than many supports are still with them.

32% of respondent are sure that Viktor Yanukovych and Volodymyr Lytvyn are persons concerned the most about the reformation of the parliament.

Hence, we can assume that the key political figures are only imitating the great desire to hold early parliamentary elections.

It is also worth to mention that in experts’ opinion, Yulia Tymoshenko (52%) and Viktor Yanukovych (48%) don’t mind simultaneous parliamentary and presidential elections.

Though the above mentioned data is only consideration, the true fact is that this autumn starts the presidential campaign. All experts agree on this fact.

According to political scientists, having won the presidential chair, a new President would try to take control of the power and political situation. Well, we have nothing but to wait till 2010 to see this for ourselves…
