VR was blocked because of UAH 30 billion?

Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk makes a forecast that the decision about the political crisis will be put off for autumn. The head of VR said speaking at the conference “Media and legislature – regional dimension” held in Kyiv.

“It is more likely that there will be no compromise and the political battles will be put off on September,” said Yatsenyuk. According to him, it is the only possible scenario for today.

Yatsenyuk said it is one of the sharpest opposition in the history of the independent Ukraine, as UNIAN reports.

Moreover he added that the present situation in the Parliament is a result of the political reform of 2004. According to him, as the amendments to the Constitution were adopted in haste, now we have such situation. The VR head stressed that at the moment “nobody has the majority”, that is why we have a stalemate situation.

Speaking of the today’s events in the Verkhovna Rada, Yatsenyuk said there are votes for resignation but no votes for the budget. He added that the members of BYuT blocked the VR podium today, demanding to approve new budget, because they don’t want to leave UAH 30 billion of budget funds to the next government. At the same time Yatsenyuk said there won’t be new government because there is no new coalition.

PR wants to make the Speaker work in the legal area

The Party of Regions is not going to discharge Arseniy Yatsenyuk from his post of the Speaker of Parliament, they want to make him put the question about the Cabinet’s report on vote, as people’s deputy from PR faction Yuriy Miroshnychenko said on Tuesday.

According to him, Yatsenyuk admits that if there are enough signatures of people’s deputies, the question must be automatically included in the agenda during 10 days.

“It is in our interests – not to discharge him, but make him somehow work in the legal area. We are telling him all the time: “You are the Head of VR, not the coalition commissar in the VR presidium. That is why you should work and everything else must be solved by the factions. There is a draft ruling, there are signatures and the request to put it on voting during 10 days, there are legal grounds, so put it ,” said Miroshnychenko.

According to him, if Yatsenyuk is discharged he will be substituted by vice-speakers, PR is ready to vote for the candidates. Miroshnychenko didn’t say who can be the candidate from PR because this must be announced by the faction leaders, as Pravda-Ukraine reports.

Kyiv-Mohyla Academy violates the rights of university-entrants?

The Ministry of education and science of Ukraine will apply to the General Prosecutor’s Office if the chancellor of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy ignores new rules of entry to high educational institutions.

According to Minister of education and science Ivan Vakarchuk, he applied to the chancellor of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a request to allow the university-entrants make entrance examination in the language they had learnt at school, as Korrespondent reports.

“If the university-entrant was learning German, French or Spanish at school, he can’t enter the academy because there is a barrier – English on the entrance examinations. It contradicts to the Constitution and equal rights to all university-entrants,” said the Minister, according to the materials of RBC-Ukraine.

Vakarchuk also mentioned that all university-entrants, whose rights were violated during the entrance campaign, have the right and obligation to apply to court.

PR looks forward to 226 votes for the non-confidence resolution

There is no guarantee that more than 226 people’s deputies will support the resolution about non-confidence to the Government, said people’s deputy from PR Oleksandr Lavrynovuch in his interview to the Parliament journalists on Tuesday, as ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“There is a guarantee this question must be examined,” said the people’s deputy.

According to Lavrynovych it is obvious that BYuT has blocked the VR podium, because they don’t want the question about the Government’s report was put on consideration to the Verkhovna Rada.

According to him the structure of new coalition – is a question of negotiations. Lavrynovych said that only after the “orange” coalition stops its activities de jure, they can initiate a question about new structure of the majority. “Otherwise it’s not logically neither responsible to speak about new format of the coalition,” said the people’s deputy.
