Communists are sure Baloha and PR will make new oligarchic coalition

The President’s Secretariat and the Party of Regions carry on negotiations to create new ‘oligarchic coalition’. Leader of the communist Party of Ukraine, Petro Symonenko stated recently in his interview at the press conference on Monday.

‘There are negotiations between the Party of Regions and the President’s Secretariat presented by Baloha,’ said Symonenko. They are going to create new formal coalition. He also noted that the PR and part of the Our Ukraine party will not be enough, and they will involve representatives of big business and Lytvyn Block.

Symonenko also stated the communist Party will never join such coalition and will not participate in its creation, Liga reports.

The head of the CPU says Viktor Yushchenko denied own promises he had given in September 2007 regarding ‘heading the orange coalition’. In this context Symonenko called Yushchenko ‘a political betrayer’ who ‘joined the oligarchs’.

As ForUm reported, on June 6 Speaker of VR Arseniy Yatsenyk read the statement of Ihor Rybakov (BYuT) and Yuriy But (OU-SPD) about their withdrawal from the coalition.

Rogozin: Ukraine’s joining NATO will damage its MIC

Rogozin: Ukraine’s joining NATO will damage its MIC

On Ukraine’s joining NATO its military-industrial complex will be damaged, as it is integrated with Russian MIC, stated constant representative of Russian Federation in NATO Dmitriy Rogozin at the Assembly of WEU in Paris.

In case Ukraine joins NATO, it will have to impose visa regime regarding the countries not-members of NATO, namely citizens of RF, said Rogozin. It means Russia will be forced to make the same, which may complicate bilateral humanitarian relations.

‘Concerning Ukraine’s demand that the Black Sea Fleet leaves Sevastopol by the year 2017, I would like to say the City of Sevastopol was founded as the main base for the Black Sea Fleet not vise versa,’ stated Dmitriy Rogozin, gazeta.ru reports.

‘In other words, the matter is not that the Black Sea Fleet is based in Sevastopol, this city was actually founded for the Black Sea Fleet, not fleet for the city,’ reminded Russian representative. That is why Ukraine has to follow all obligations it has taken, in particular the obligations of the Agreement between Russia and Ukraine: ‘Ukraine is an independent, nonaligned state.’
