Minister of Justice doesn’t know what to advise parliament

Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olexander Lavrynovych considers that the People’s deputies of Ukraine of the fifth convocation can consider draft budget for 2008 next week. He stated at briefing on Friday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“There are People’s deputies in the Verkhovna Rada, who haven’t resigned, and according to the law they should fulfill their duties,” he said.

At the same time, according to the Minister, as the quantity of the People’s deputies in the VRU is less than 300, they can’t take authorized decisions in a full scope.

Besides, Lavrynovych emphasized that “today the cliché on the VRU illegitimacy is imposed on society; all over the world there is a practice that the People’s deputies of the parliament stop their activity only after the election of the next convocation”.
