"Our Ukraine" picketing the Cabinet

Today activists of the Youth Union Our Ukraine picketed the Cabinet of Ministry’s building demanding from the Prime Minister Yanukovych and his officials to promulgate their income statements.

The picketers carried flags of the Our Ukraine and the People’s Self Defense. They also held such banners in their hands: “Due date of income statements is April 1! Have you pulled up?”, “Prime Minister goes to shamans”, “Time of “proffessors” passes on”, “Students! Help a “proffessor” with filling an income statement in!” and “You’re not ministers, you are swindlers” etc, press service of OU-PSD reports.

The first deputy of the Our Ukraine Youth Union’s chairman Oleksiy Hrytsenko addressed the participants of the action with the following: “We came today to remind Yanukovych’s officials about their duty, to remind that they must abide by the law. According to the Laws “On State Service” and “On struggle against corruption”, officials should promulgate their income statements annually. That hadn’t been done by the majority of Yanukovych’s government”.

To help the Ministers, young OU members brought to the Cabinet of Ministry’s building a big spelling dictionary with a calculator and an abacus for officials not to make mistakes in spelling and counting.

When “orange” songs started to sound, windows of the cabinet’ building started to close. Several cars with special numbers left the car parking. The activists saw them off with the exclamations “The law is one and for everyone”.
