"Segodnya” newspaper denies accusation of Turchynov

“Segodnya” newspaper denies its involvement in publication of posters against BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko and gives Olexander Turxhynov 48 hours to bring apology to the newspaper. The chief editor of “Segodnya” newspaper Ihor Guzhva said that.

According to him, Turchynov discredited honor and business reputation of the newspaper.

In case Turchynov does not bring apology, we will appeal to court,” he said.

As a reminder, Turchynov declared that BYuT opponents started using dirty technologies against BYuT, having published posters with negative information against Yulia Tymoshenko. Turchynov also noted that BYuT found out that posters are printed in publishing house of “Segodnya” newspaper, the owner of which is Rinat Akhmetov.

Moroz doesn’t intend to take vacation

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the fifth convocation doesn’t plan to take a vacation for the period of the election campaign. As the press service of the VRU informs, Moroz has told journalists during his working trip to the Crimea.

Moroz has emphasized that he hasn’t had the possibility to take the vacation earlier, and now he “has no time”.

“The case is that in the vacation the chairman of the parliament stays the chairman of the parliament and he must realize his responsibility and to act in certain manner,” he has said. “If it is connected with active campaign, I think I have enough experience to hold it within the law,” he has emphasized.

Moroz presented his poetry collection

Moroz presented his poetry collection

The VRU chairman Olexander Moroz has presented his poetry collection “Consonance” in Simferopol today. Book is published in three languages: Russian, Ukrainian and Crimeantatar. Book is released in 1000 copies.

Translation in Ukrainian was done by Halyna Khmeleva and in Crimeantatar – by Ablyaziv Veliev.

In scope of the presentation, Moroz recited his poetry and Crimean actors performed dances and music.

Speaking about his book, Moroz noted that publication in three languages is symbolic and symptomatic. Moroz noted that people should love and know languages then there will be no problems what language to speak. He also expressed opinion that discussion on languages in Ukraine is artificially created.

He also said that writing poetry is a hobby for him but not a work.

Ukraine can save on People's deputies

Ukraine can save on People’s deputies

The State will save about UAH 300 millions in budget, if it cuts down benefits for People’s deputies of Ukraine. Head of President’s Secretariat Service on Relations with the Cabinet of Ministers Yan Bernazyuk has stated at briefing on Wednesday, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“Every year UAH 400 million are spared on benefits and privileges for the People’s deputies, and if such sum is reduced by 80%, about UAH 300 millions will be saved,” he said.

According to Bernazyuk, 219 People’s deputies have received apartments and corresponding compensations. “This is discrimination in comparison with other citizens of Ukraine, who are in need of housing conditions improvement,” he said.

Bernazyuk also considers it socially unfair that the pension of People’s deputies 40 times exceeds the minimal pension.

Moroz: There is no coalition split

The VRU chairman Olexander Moroz declares that extraordinary VRU session will not take place until Cabinet prepares propositions on realization of Constitution decision concerning benefits.

“We will wait for Cabinet propositions on this issue and then will take decision on extraordinary VRU session,” he said today in an interview in Crimea.

At the same time Moroz noted that resolution on holding extraordinary session on August 7-10 is still valid.

Moroz also noted that there is no split in coalition.

As a reminder, on June 19 the CCU admitted illegal number of regulation of the law “On state budget of Ukraine 2007”. Yanukovych declared that Cabinet has no possibility to fulfil CCU decision on benefit renewal.

Turchynov: Akhmetov newspaper publishes posters with caricature of Tymoshenko

One of the BYuT leaders Olexander Turchynov declares that BYuT opponents start using dirty technologies against BYuT.

He said that today at a press conference, having demonstrated posters with negative information against Yulia Tymoshenko.

In particular, posters have Tymoshenko’s braid in form of loop and Tymoshenko together with Yushchenko with phrase below: “dear friends”.

Plenty of copies are printed on qualified paper. “It is done without any fixed signs, secretly, in shadow regime,” he said.

Turchynov also noted that BYuT found out that posters are printed in publishing house of “Segodnya” newspaper, the owner of which is Rinat Akhmetov.

Turchynov said that BYuT has already applied to PGO, Interior Ministry and SBU with demand to investigate this case.

Yanukovych receives alternative treatment in Altai

Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is in republic Altai (Russia) with an unofficial visit. There he continues treatment necessary after the leg surgery.

According to Azarov, Yanukovych is expected to return on Saturday or Sunday.

Azarov noted that Yanukovych had told him not once about his plans to use the service of alternative medicine.

At the same time, Azarov didn’t confirm the information, concerning the meeting of Yanukovych with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Azarov emphasized only that the journey of Yanukovych to Russia was connected only with his leg treatment.

Poland breaks terms of preparation to Euro-2012

Poland breaks terms of joint with Ukraine preparations for European football Championship. Poland officials reject the demand of UEFA to complete building of new stadiums and reconstructions of existing stadiums till 2010.

Poland Minister of Sport Elisabeth Yakubyak has stated that sport buildings will have been prepared the year before the Championship. The State budget of Poland can’t bear all the costs for the stadiums building. In overall, more than one milliard of dollars is necessary.
