Yanukovych does not want to be a President?

Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych declares that question on his participation in presidential elections 2009 will be decided by the Party of Regions.

“It will be decided by the party. I was never afraid of responsibility. However it is difficult not to notice that after Constitution changes, the PM position gives more enhanced authorities to implement political program than the Presidential position. President’s job is also very interesting, but it is necessary to adapt to new Constitution conditions,” Yanukovych said today in an interview.

Commenting on journalists suggestion about possibility of forming mega block “For Yanukovych”, Yanukovych noted that there is no need to do it because bloc formation is not reliable.

PM expressed a hope that at the early parliamentary elections the PR and SPU will manage to get more votes than in 2006
