Opinion: Party of Regions does not rule out another orange revolution

People’s deputy, member of Party of Regions Borys Kolesnikov considers that early parliamentarian elections are quite possible. He told journalists Thursday commenting on yesterday’s meeting between Victor Yushchenko and Yulia Tymoshenko.

“Everything can be expected in our country. But I think it won’t bring Ukraine any good. Besides, there are no grounds for this. The orange team has showed its complete inadequacy. They declared standards of the Western democracy. But what have they done for a year of absolute power? Any real step towards the West? Just repressions and silly talking,” Kolesnikov considers.

“I do not exclude the second Maydan (orange revolution – ed.), as well as the third and the twenty fifth. But all these will push Ukraine on edge of world culture and economy,” the deputy stated.

Yanukovych is going to Kazakhstan to advance Ukraine to CEA

In Kazakhstan the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is going to discuss issue on standard and conditions of Ukraine’s participation in Common Economic Area. Volodymyr Fesenko political scientist, president of the Center of applied political researches “Penta” told FourUm’s correspondent today.

The Kazakhs party is interested in Ukrainian participation in this project. And what is more, we have an interest in cooperation development with Kazakhstan,” he said.

The political scientist reminded that last month the issue on oil pipe line “Odessa-Brodu” was discussed twice. “This project has been renewed (it is suggested its construction in west-north direction to Poland). It is provided for transit of Central Asia and Kazakhs oil to Europe. This issue was discussed during the visit of the Poland PM to Ukraine and during Yanukovych’s visit to the USA and is going to be discussed in Kasakhstan,” Fesenko explained.

He underlined that few investments come to Ukraine from Kazakhstan. “There are financial resources in Kazakhstan. The Kazakhs economy is actively developing. It is logical to set questions on using free Kazakhs financial resources in Ukraine. It would be profitable for Ukraine and also for Kazakhstan,” political scientist summed up.
