VR Speaker about CPU and WTO

VR Speaker about CPU and WTO

Answering the journalists’ questions, Speaker Moroz has refuted an assumption about the new coalition without Communist Party. “I think such version is rather impossible and such final will not happen. Most likely, it will be the new format of the coalition with the OU representatives included,” commented Moroz.

He also addressed the issues related to Ukraine’s accession into WTO. “Eleven out of fourteen draft bills (related to WTO – ed.) are rather questionable ones. In my opinion, the discussion will burst regardless of the format of the coalition. The consideration of these items will be disputable because the thing is in protection of the Ukrainian producers and domestic market,” stressed the VR Speaker.

Speaker Moroz on two draft bills on the opposition

Two draft bills on the opposition (by BYuT and by the PR) have been registered by the VR Speaker today.

“I’ve thoroughly considered the PR draft bill on opposition. I think it is quite good document. By the way, Yulia Volodymyrivna has no objections against this document. She thinks it is a good project but it needs some corrections,” said Moroz. The special working group will work it out. The Speaker added.

Oleksandr Moroz reminded that the BYuT must submit its candidate for the VR Vice-Speaker’s job. If this office is taken by the opposition representative the realisation of the bill on the opposition will be provided more effectively, Moroz concluded.

Moroz: Tymoshenko creates political intrigues

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Moroz considers Yulia Tymoshenko’s accusations concerning Cabinet of Ministers groundless.

According to Moroz, Tymoshenko refers to the law, adopted before the constitutional reform has come in.

The speaker states that Victor Yanukovich and members of his government sent in applications on resignation of their plenary powers at the same day when they were appointed for their posts in the executive power.

“It seems that somebody creates political intrigues. I assure that the government will continue its work with its composition approved on August 4,” Moroz summed up.

Zubanov: "Victor Yanukovich is a legitimate PM"

The President of Ukraine has no reasons to change the PM of Ukraine, PR member Zubanov reports.

“Yanukovich is legitimate Prime Minister. And he works quite effectively. Regarding the accusations of dual job holding, Yanukovich gave in his resignation right after his appointment as a PM,” said MP Volodymyr Zubanov.

Tomorrow the VR will consider the resignations of MPs working in the Cabinet, Zubanov stressed.
