Poroshenko is clear, NSNU press service told

The temporary investigating committee of Verkhovna Rada has admitted that Oleksandr Zinchenko’s accusations of the former NSDCU Secretary  a member of NSNU Party Council  (“People’s Union Our Ukraine”) Petro Poroshenko were absolutely groundless.

That’s what Poroshenko’s press-service has informed to NSNU pess service.

“The committee has admitted that all accusations made by Mr. Zinchenko and Mr. Turchynov did not reflect reality and any proof had not been found” – the message says.

Every accusation out of seven that had been made were examined by the committee and voted for. All 14 members voted for the fact that Mr Poroshenko had been accused in corruption without grounds.

President of Ukraine met Croatian Foreign Minister

Victor Yushchenko met Foreign Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic of Croatia and together they discussed potential areas of Ukrainian-Croatian economic cooperation. This pressing theme will be also considered at the level of the special commission on Ukrainian-Croatian trade and economic cooperation in spring 2006.

The high authorities welcomed the acceleration of contacts between their business leaders. The Head of State said he believed it was expedient to formulate three or four specific cooperation projects in the fields of energy, transport, and machine-building.

Yushchenko also stressed that an agreement between the government of Ukraine and the cabinet of the Croatian Republic to liberalize visa requirements would help develop economic and humanitarian relations between the states.

The sides also agreed that Ukraine and Croatia had common approaches to the enhancement of cooperation to join the EU and NATO.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk attended the meeting.

Poland to help Ukraine with the country development

Poland to help Ukraine with the country development

Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC) and European Countryside Development Fund of Poland (ECDFP) signed the Memorandum on Ukrainian Countryside Development in Krynitsa.

UAK President Leonid Kozachenko said that the new Fund has to be registered in the beginning of the coming year. After registration, it will be granted 0.5 million for its launch.

Polish experts are willing to help in adaptation of the mechanisms and the realization of the fund aims. The Fund programs are aimed at the social welfare of Ukrainian countryside and the support of country youth generation.

Ukrainian People’s Bloc Kostenko-Plushch held a congress in Kyiv

Ukrainian People’s Bloc Kostenko-Plyushch confirmed the election list for the parliamentary elections-2006. The list was passed by the majority of votes in the congress in Kyiv.

The top ten of the Bloc consists of Yuri Kostenko, Ivan Plushch, Oleksandr Slobodyan, Ivan Zaets, Anna Skrypnyk, Yuri Melnik, Vasyl Chervony, Oleksandr Klymenko, Evhen Zhovtyak, Valery Asadchev, Oleksandr Hudyma, Stepan Khmara, Ivan Drach, Ivan Tomich, Pavlo Movchan, Anton Buteiko and Dmytro Pavlychko.

Ukrainian People’s Bloc Kostenko-Plushcha unites Ukrainian People’s Party, Free Agrarians and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine and Ukraina Sobornaya Party (Cathedral Ukraine). Republican Christian Party recently has quitted it.
