Ukraine represented the application for Euro final-2012

Ukrainian Football Federation and the Executive Committee of the direction of Euro-2012 officially represented the application-file for the participation in the tender for conducting Euro final-2012 in Ukraine and Poland. The press service of Ukrainian Football Federation reported about it.

The community was given two volumes of documents four hundred of pages each. The volumes contain the detailed information about conditions and trends of social and sport infrastructure of the states (Ukraine and Poland). On July 21 the officials will deliver the documents by plane to UEFA headquarter in Switzerland.

The application consists of conception of European football forum, guarantees of the government, the financial calculations and the invitation of the President of Ukraine, Ukrainian PM and the presidents of football associations.

Alexander Bandurko, the vice-president of Ukrainian Football Federation, Ivan Fedorenko, the executive director of Euro-2012 in Ukraine and Dirk Smiths van Oyen, the general manager of the project took part in the enlarged meeting.

We remind that the government charged the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine with the signing of the indemnities for the above-mentioned application.

Adoption middlemen will be licensed

General Office of Public Prosecutor initiates licensing of mediatory activity while adopting children.

"Mediatory activity must be licensed, this question is to be decided on legislative level," said the deputy prosecutor general Tatiana Korniakova.

She pointed out that there are 300 officially registered middlemen in Ukraine, who demand four-nine thousand euros for their activity from foreigners. According to her, GOPP is engaged in this problem. Korniakova underlined that Ukraine is interested in that children were adopted by Ukrainian families.

She also mentioned that several criminal cases had been instituted in connection with illegal activity of middlemen.

The President of Ukraine: The suspects are not criminals

Viktor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine taking the floor in the enlarged meeting with the authorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine touched upon the fact of bad conditions of life of the investigatory isolation wards.  

The President of Ukraine called not to treat the suspects as the criminals.   

He pointed to the fact that the conditions of detention must meet requirements of the international conventions and be fulfilled by the corresponding agencies.   

The president of Ukraine charged Yuri Lucenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with reports concerning the fulfillment of this demand.

MIA has a month for fight with drug addiction

The President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko charged the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the Ministry of Health to develop a program concerning the fight with drug addiction during 30 days.

According to the President, there is an increase of drug addicts in Ukraine. Yushchenko reported that 122 thousand drug addicts are registered for today in Ukraine, and two thirds of them are young people. In addition, Yushchenko pointed to insufficient efforts of police in fight with drugs turnover.

In particular, the President paid attention to the low statistic data about crime detecting. He was surprised by the fact that none international channel of drug supply was revealed in Kharkov, Kiev, Kherson regions and the Sevastopol city. "Either policemen are engaged in this (drug supply – ed.) or they are not policemen," declared Yushchenko.

The President charged the heads of MIA Departments in these regions to send him personal reports about improvement of fight with drug turnover.

Yushchenko pays doctors $100 per hour

The chairman of dermatological clinic of Geneva University Hospital, the ex-president of The European Dermatology Association, Jean Soran, informed that one working hour of Victor’s Yushchenko Swiss doctors costs 100 Swiss francs (77.5 US dollars).

"It is a standard tariff in Switzerland; medical insurance tariff is about 100 Swiss francs," said he.

The press-secretary of the President of Ukraine reported that Yushchenko pays for his treatment from his family budget, not from the state one.

Shevchenko will miss the Italian club’s tour to the United States

(AP) – AC Milan striker Andriy Shevchenko will miss the Italian club’s tour to the United States later this month after undergoing surgery to fix a previously operated broken jaw.

AC Milan said Sunday that the Ukraine striker will be sidelined for at least one week, leaving the powerhouse short of forwards for friendlies against Chelsea and Chicago Fire, News Italia Press reported.

This year’s losing Champions League finalist, AC Milan will also be without striker Filippo Inzaghi, who has a knee injury.

Jon-Dahl Tomasson is also missing having just transferred to Stuttgart.

Milan’s offense will be led by newly signed Christian Vieri, who moved from crosstown rival Inter Milan.

Milan is scheduled to play English Premier League champion Chelsea July 24 in Foxboro, Massachusetts, and again on July 31 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

On July 27, Milan will meet the Chicago Fire at Solider Field in Chicago.

Before traveling to the United States, Milan will play a preseason tournament that also features Juventus and Inter Milan on Wednesday.

The European Dermatology Association: The President of Ukraine is in good health

Jean Sarra, the ex-president of the Association stated that the President of Ukraine feels good and is quite sound.

"Yushchenko’s health is very good. He has no problem with internal – from top to toe," stated Prof. Soran.  

According to his words, the sound condition of Yushchenko’s health is proved by his mountaineering. We remind that on July 16, the President of Ukraine mountaineered Goverla, the peak of Carpathians (2,061meters).

Yushchenko’s face does not give an idea about his condition of health because dioxin excretion needs long time.

Irina Gerashchenko, the presidential press secretary, stated that the President of Ukraine consulted with Swiss doctors for six times concerning his poisoning.

According to her words, the President of Ukraine consulted Ukrainian doctors before mountaineering Goverla. The medical experts let him climb.

Lugansk region to produce diesel oil and petrol from coal

Lugansk region plans to produce diesel oil and petrol from coal by technology of South African Republic’s company, as reported by the head of Lugansk regional administration, Aleksey Danilov.

"We are preparing grounded propositions for the Prime Minister of Ukraine concerning this matter. In the nearest future our specialists will depart for South African Republic, where there are first in the world fuel plants, which produce petrol and diesel oil from coal," said he.

"By the way, coal processing equipment was installed after an embargo on oil and gas had been put, and when South African Republic was a "closed" country. And they feel good producing useful matters from coal. We are negotiating with the Ambassador of the Republic during three months. It is a great work, which can not be done during day or two," pointed out Danilov.
