BREAKING News: Gene Nelson quits Forum.
This is the second time Gene has Quit?
Gene has finally woken up that Yushchenko is the problem not the solution. He really is a very con fused boy. One minute he is Champion of Yatseniuk, then he witches to Tigipko only to once again switch back to Yulia. One day he will come out of the closet and reveal his true sexuality.
Gene if not a true believer in Free speech his lack of undertsaning of policits shows up time and time again. But in all fairness to the boy he has been the target of a lot of abuse (Mostly from Tomas Martinez), his main crime is he does to support Yushchenko. Gene is “piggy” of the Lord of the flies group.
- First time resignation-
It is not sure if he resigned or was pushed out by the likes of Tomas and Netsor. Gene was beginning to show signs of maturity and had began to wake up to some of Thomas and Nestors game play.
In the end Gene realised, as most have just began to see the light, that Yushchenko is the problem not the solution.
Gene has been posting various comments on UNIAN news site.
He is welcomed to continue posting here if he is not too abusive and respects the rights of free speech.
Maybe he has also woken up to the fact that Jeff Mowatt and terry Hallman are con artists just trying to pump the internet and make a claim for their dubious business successes. Due diligence is advised. when dealing with their company people centered economic development. The company that has no asserts, no proven success and no known address.

I’ve told you before, my objection to the cabinet law is that it infringes on the presidents powers to appoint as previously spelled out in the constitution. You favor the cabinet law because it gives the pm much of that power.

I do not know the law well enough to speculate on whether it is valid or not. That is up to the CC. But…I am sure there are informed people in the VR that have a pretty good idea of what the CC will do and understand the law much better than I do

While I have no control over the news section FS…if I did…I would ban you without hesitation. While I disagree with censorship, I also disagree with your attempts to manipulate the news, mislead and outright lie. You even mislead with your so called name “free speech” when it is something you appear to oppose with your support of the ruthless and authoritarian leader (Yanu) that you support, who has never accomplished one thing to promote democracy in Ukraine…only to remove democracy, free elections and a free press. You are a troll who grew up in a democracy and chose to promote authoritarianism for all Ukrainians. I often wonder what happened to you for you to wish something like that on others.

I have a tendency to agree with Yulia that politicians should not draft a new constitution. They appear far too self serving. Best this left to constitution experts.
She disagreed with Yush regarding two parliaments. It is difficult to state an opinion on this as we do not know what kind of situation would be set up with 2 houses of parliament.
If it were modeled in the following way, I might agree with Yush:
*House 1 – fixed number of legislaturers per geographical area with no consideration for population, similar to the US Senate.
*House 2 – each geographical area would receive a predetermined number of legislaturers based strictly on population similar to the US House of Representatives.

I have no doubt that Yanu and Moroz are correct regarding the legal basis for the dissolution of the VR by Yush. However; the alternative was a complete usurpatation of power by those two, with their attempt to install a parliamentary dictatorship. So…before Europe and PACE get too excited about those issues, they should look at what lead up to the situation…and how far the coalition corrupted the VR and CC

I find it disappointing that I am unable to access the forum via my computers, but can by using someone else’s computer. I’m not banned, but my computers at home and at work are blocked. What a cowards way to keep me out.
I did contact our honorable (?) moderator, as did another individual about my inability to access the forum. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but I knew in my heart what was happening. And…of course…our honorable (?) moderator ignored those contacts, refusing to respond or to fix the problem.
Sad to see that freedom of the press and speech has no value on this forum.
Interesting that most of you here who post on the forum were angry at Yulia when she attempted that failed relationship with PoR, not only because of the sharing of power issue, but also because there were restrictions to a free press in that agreement. Yet, you show you have no interest in a free press or speech with your attempt to restrict my access to the forum, because I disagreed with many of you.
This is almost hilarious, but in reality, it is shameful. You can’t handle honest discussion, so you eliminate.
I have worked hard on this site to make this a place to attract readers by offering a variety of articles. I did it for you and I did it for me. I did it for me in the hopes we could attract interesting and intelligent readers who were interested in looking at the entire picture and who were interested in honest discussion. I did it for you because I hoped you would open your minds. Sadly, we’re not attracting new readers and I’m tired trying to have honest discussions with people whose minds are closed.
I’ve left twice before and both times I was talked into returning by some others on this site. I’m done. Foolish me, I thought this forum would be a place for honest discussions and a place to share ideas about topics, a place where people would make an honest attempt to show why they disagree with each other, instead of just saying “you’re wrong”, or to insult.
It is unbelievable that you handle disagreement by eliminating.
Who would have thought that those here on this forum that come from democratic countries that value freedom of the press, would have so little desire to protect such a fundamental freedom?
Of course, the issue here is not about truth, but about control, which is the same thing that happens in authoritarian countries.
You should be ashamed, but I honestly don’t believe it is part of the nature for some of you. Even if you weren’t a part of this action, you should be ashamed for standing by and not speaking out about this behavior.Gene
