Moderators Profiles
The following persons were “elected” moderators on the http://www.en.for-ua.com/forum/ website. The “election” of moderators was corrupt, the administration and organisation of the election itself was done in the typical Soviet Style, lacking transparency and displaying extreme bias. One of the candidates for election as moderator was banned from participating in the forum for the duration of the election and as such denied the right to campaign or participate in the election itself. The For-ua.com editorial staff passed on progressive poll results to the winning team during the three day campaign. The moderators term of office is unknown and presumable appointed for life until they nominate their resignation. One of the moderators hardly ever participated.
Most of the discussion the forum is between a hand full of people, the moderators having excluded anyone that holds a differing political point of view to that of their own.
Previously the news section commentary was lively and informative but a few of the moderators and others engaged in a campaign promoted by US-Expat to trash the News section by abusing contributors and inflaming the debate with the moderators unwilling to hold to account those people that they consider supportive of their political line. Contributes such as Angela, ISO were denied free speech. Tom Mendez in particular in the period leading up to Christmas initiated a group attack on Angela who was subjected to abuse, insults and more abuse all of which was permitted and encouraged to a large extent by the moderator Tom, Gene and Peter (Many who participated in the group attack) It was only when Angela responded in kind with a rather mild offensive comment that Tom Mendez was quick for the group to call for her to be banned for abusive comment. (Yet they remained silent on the abuse she and others were subjected to)
In summary the moderation and editorial management of the news commentary was extremely bias and unjust
