Yushchenko should visit Putin?

Yushchenko should visit Putin?

People’s deputy of Ukraine of the fifth convocation Dmytro Vydrin considers the trip of Viktor Yanukovych to Moscow is connected with the forthcoming elections. He stated in the exclusive interview to the ForUm’s correspondent.

“I think we can leave the formal pretext of this meeting and pay attention that the true topic of this meeting may be the discussion with the leader of neighboring state about the political situation in Ukraine. The odds of victory of these or those political forces at the early elections and the political configuration after the elections will be talked over. I know that Putin has likings for long strategic steps and schemes, and of course, he worries who will be his partner in Ukrainian authority in two months”.

The People’s deputy thinks that the rare Yushchenko’s visits to Russia are connected with the rumors that the President of Ukraine is “undesirable quest” in Moscow.

“If you want to be an effective politician, you should go to those who like and dislike you, all the more, that the energy wellbeing depends on this country. When emotions take place in the politics, the management ends. It can’t be allowed,” he noted.

Tsushko blames Baloha for delay in international passport issuing

Interior Minister Vasyl Tsushko claims that chief of the President’s Secretariat Viktor Baloha is responsible for delay in international passport issuing. He said at a press conference in Dnipropetrovsk.

“I would recommend Baloha to be more attentive with the decrees, which he submits for the President’s signature. Problems with passports have emerged on May 11 after adoption of the President’s decree on cancellation of paper passports for electronic ones,” the Minister said

According to him, ‘there was no need to hurry’ as there is enough time till 2010.

Tsushko supposes that the confrontation is being provoked in order to discredit the Interior Ministry. He also stressed that it was due to the decree that the Interior Ministry concluded an unfavorable agreement on passport printing.

“Our ordinary old red international passports are recognized abroad, I have ascertained it myself,” emphasized the Minister.

As earlier reported, on May 12, the President adopted a decree to launch a procedure of new international passport printing and issuing.

It was also stipulated that the old international passports are valid during the term specified.

At the same time, on June 13 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed about the delays in passport issuing.
